The Goffstown Community Garden Club is again sponsoring “Keep Goffstown Beautiful Week”
with a proclamation from the Goffstown’s Board of Selectmen. For over 25 years, the Goffstown Garden
Club has sponsored the “Keep Goffstown Beautiful Week” in honor of Earth Day,
which is Tuesday, April 22, 2014. The proclamation urges all of the citizenry to participate
in efforts to pick up, clean up and spruce up streets, lawns, parks, corners, roadways, etc.
as well as around private homes. The proclamation also urges all townspeople to recycle their newspapers, magazines, mixed paper, plastic, aluminum and steel/tin cans, bottles, and corrugated
cardboard by utilizing Goffstown’s curbside recycling program or visiting the Goffstown Transfer Station.
As the garden club members do their part with the semi annual trash pickup along Route 114
“Adopt a Highway”, we encourage homeowners and walkers to do the same. It only takes a few seconds
to pick up litter while Fido is sniffing about. If everyone pitches in and does their part, we can take
pride in our town and work together to “Keep Goffstown Beautiful”.
